Washington: The United States has announced a new military aid package of US $ 400 million (about 3300 crores) for Ukraine. This includes ammunition, tanks and armoured vehicles, but this will be the first time that tactical bridges will be included to move tanks and armoured vehicles. These bridges will be used by Ukrainian soldiers who are training for weapons manoeuvres. The Armored Vehicle Launch Bridge is a portable, 60-foot (18-meter) folding metal bridge that is carried over a tank body. With this system, Ukrainian soldiers can now cross the rivers to reach the Russian army. The assistance package will also include spare parts and tools for the maintenance and repair of the vehicle.
The war had slowed down to a great extent during the winter months. Russia and Ukraine fired at each other from across the river.
