The central government has taken an important decision and extended the deadline to link the voter ID card to the base number। Now common people can link these two documents till 31 March 2024। Earlier, the last date to link voter ID and Aadhaar card was April 1, 2023। However, it is not mandatory to link the two। A gazette notification by the Ministry of Law and Justice states that applications for inclusion of names in the voter list will not be rejected। Chana states that if a voter fails to show the base number, entries will not be removed from the voter list.
The notification issued by the government said that now this facility has been extended for a full year। Meanwhile, any citizen can link to voter ID and Aadhaar online or offline manner till next year। However, even if he fails to do so, his rights to give will not be taken away। No action will be taken on that। This work is completely volunteer, which will also benefit in many ways.
Process of linking voter ID and Aadhaar online
- To link voter ID and Aadhaar card must go to https://nvsp.in/ website
- After visiting the website, click on the option of Register Age a User to log in.
- After this you will be asked to fill the mobile number and cap cha and an OTP will come on your mobile. A new page will open as soon as you enter this OTP
- Here you have to fill all the details sought. You will be queried after submitting it.Automatic Acc Knowledgement Number will be generated after all information is submitted
- You can use the acnolagement number to check the status of whether your voter ID is linked to Aadhaar or not.
